Prediction Sheet:

Make predictions for your data using the guiding questions below:

  • Will it finish growing in 48 hours?


  • Will your creature shrink any more after 4 days?


  • What will be the average rate of growth for your data?


  • What will be the average rate of shrinking for your data?


  • Will all of the creatures grow and/or shrink at the same rate?


  • How long will it grow?


  • How long will it take to shrink?


  • Where in your data will the creature grow the slowest and how will you determine this? (rate of growth is slowest)


  • Where in your data will the creature grow the fastest and how did you determine this? (rate of growth is fastest)


  • Where in your data will the creature shrink the slowest and how did you determine this? (rate of decay is slowest)


  • Where in your data will the creature shrink the fastest and how did you determine this? (rate of decay is fastest)


  • Will it shrink back to its original size? If not, how much smaller than the original or larger than the original will the final measurement be?


  • Will the creatures be truly similar at all stages of its growth or shrinking? How will you know?


  • What other things might you observe as the creature grows or shrinks?
