We have looked at many harmful stereotypical images of women, but would you believe that men are often stereotyped as well. Men are typically categorized in about six different stereotypes.
Typical Male Stereotypes:
According to, Gender Stereotyping in the Media, "Men seem to have a more positive image about themselves. Instead of being passive and subservient as women are often seen as, they are strong and in control. While these are better attributes to strive for, it is highly looked down upon if you do not live up to these expectations."*
Men
are often portrayed in the media having an ideal body type. Most men don't
have enough time in a day to obtain this type of body.
