Instructional Objectives
The students will:
Advance Preparation
*Review "Netiquette" and Internet safety with your students
prior to the activity.
Have a chatroom set up for the students, or E-mail service.
Have accounts for the students to use the chatroom, or
E-mail.
Have "Key-pals" set up for the class. Either from a school
faraway, or from your same school (the important thing is that the students
learn how to use telecommunications).
Have a time schedule set up with another class if using
a chatroom (or you can share within the class using the technology for
practice).
TIP: If using Tapped In you can set up recorders for your students (a transcript is e-mailed to the teacher). If using e-mail you can require that they print their e-mail. This way you can keep track of their work and have a "hard copy" record of the students' sharing.
