Teacher Information Letter

Dear_____________________________

Period___________________________

I am very excited to inform you that your teaching assistant this year is__________________.

Some of your TA's job duties may include (but certainly are not limited too!)

  • running errands (they must always have a pass from you!)
  • tutoring
  • checking papers
  • filing
  • entering computer data
  • designing, creating and implementing lesson plans (second and third year students)
  • creating bulletin boards
  • helping students who do not speak English
  • helping new students get adjusted

***Please create a "general" pass for your student. If you would like, I can have this pass laminated. Just place it in my mailbox. Be sure to include information such as the period, and first or second semester. Your TA must never leave your room without a pass!

Your TA must meet with me at the beginning of class every Monday. At this time they must turn in their journal from the previous week. They will get assignments and lessons at this time. They cannot be late. If they miss this class, then they can find the material that they missed at my website

http://exploratoryteaching.com/www.exploratoryteaching.com

There will not be a makeup class!

If your TA is constantly sent to me because you do not have any work for them, this may result in my placing them with a teacher who really needs their help.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to do this is through the school's email service.
