Rules

Speak in front of two classes. Tell them about this class. Have the teacher of each class sign the bottom of this form, saying that you completed this assignment successfully.

. Cover the following topics:

  • Talk about your job duties (run errands, grade papers, tutor, create bulletin boards, record various data, set up equipment, create lessons, teach and implement lessons..etc)
  • Talk about topics covered in class (history of education, social issues in education, planning, diversity, teaching as a profession...etc)
  • Talk about the qualities a TA must have (trustworthy, independent, hard working, moral, honest...etc)
  • Talk about what it means to have a sponsor (this is the teacher that you will work with for one semester)
  • second and third level students may go off campus and work at a local elementary or middle school.

Procedures for registering for the class:

  • In order to take this class, you must complete a sponsor form, you can get these forms from Ms. Brady in room 410.
  • Then bring your registration card to Ms. Brady during your lunch.
  • If you have the sponsor forms completely filled out, then Ms. Brady will sign your registration card.
  • ****TA's may wish to pick up several sponsor forms from Ms. Brady before you speak in front of your classes.
