Raising A.B.C. (A Better Citizen)  Speakers' Bureau

Raising A.B.C. is designed to help students discover how candidates get elected and how participating in the voting process creates better citizens.  Raising A.B.C.--Kids Get Out the Vote was written by Peggy Wyns-Madison, a former Teachers Network web mentor.

Speakers' Bureau

You can share your views on the U.S. candidates, critique campaign issues, and challenge each other with presidential trivia questions.
So let's begin!

Who's Running?
Most Americans believe that there are 2 major parties. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party. But in reality, there are several smaller parties. Can you name some?

Lobby Your Candidate

Is your state, county, and/or city holding an election this year? Here's one way to find out.

DemocracyNet.org

How effective will either candidate be if they are elected?

What are the key issues?

What areas of domestic policy will they need to address?

What are their  views on foreign policy?

Test your knowledge of presidential trivia at C-Span's American Presidents Life Portraits

For younger audiences (Gr. 3-8)  try  Grolier's Presidential Quizzes
