Job Activities
This week the homework will center on job activities. The activities are appropriate for K-3, except as noted. Feel free to copy, cut, and paste the assignments into your own word processor for sending home (or print this page).
Day 1
Choose an adult in your family (mother, dad, uncle, older brother) to interview about his or her job. Click here for a sample interview form. Bring it to school tomorrow.
Day 2
After discussing in school today the forms filled out last night, have the children work with the same person to draw a picture of him or her doing the job.
Day 3
In an effort to show children that people need to help and cooperate to get jobs done, have the children ask the same person they interviewed earlier in the week to list three ways they need other people's help to do their job. Bring the list to school tomorrow.
Day 4
Ask the children to complete the attached form about a job they might want to do someday. Also, send home a blank piece of 12" x18" paper and have them draw a picture of themselves doing that job.
