My schoolteachers have had a profound effect on my life, so my involvement with Teachers Network is the perfect way for me to promote the type of teacher leadership that I was lucky enough to have as a student. I care about educational reform. Both my sister and sister-in-law are teachers, and they have described the challenges of the profession to me. As I listen to their experiences, I realize that the issues they describe are the core issues of our society, and I know that we need to give teachers all the private market support that we can, so that organizations such as Teachers Network can do the work that they were designed to do.
