Since Johnson Junior High School is the Cheyenne site for Professional
Development Schools, we have chosen to concentrate our efforts on how the
Cheyenne Professional Development School and the power of inquiry have
influenced and affected the role of teacher education. The process in
answering our inquiry question is triangulated with surveys, focus groups, and
review of various abstracts conducted through this site.
Abstracts have been gathered along with individual surveys. This data has been
coded, and we are in the process of formulating focus groups. These focus
groups will consist of PDS pre-service teachers, PDS educators knowledgeable
of PDS, and those less familiar of PDS yet involved with inquiry. These focus
groups will be completed by February 8, 2002. We will then code this data,
compile results, report findings, and prepare to publish the final report.
