Travel Brochure Requirements

" About the Country"

Your brochure's "About the Country" section must include information about each of the following:

 

A.  Geography - a general description which includes important information (ex. bordering waters, topography)

 

B.  Weather - what the country's weather is like in the winter, spring, summer and fall.

 

C.  Currency - what this country's money is called and it's value compared to one U.S. dollar.

 

D.  Time differences - the time difference between the country and New York.

 

E.  Language - the primary language spoken in the country.

  3- Day Itinerary

 

Your itinerary must include a description and at least 1 picture of each of the following items:

 

  • hotels

  • restaurants

  • landmarks

  • sightseeing sites

  • entertainment

 

TRAVEL BROCHURE REQUIREMENTS

I. Required elements
Your brochure must include a/an:
   

  • Map

  • Table of Contents

  • "About the Country" section

  • at least 1 paragraph with general information about the city your group is researching

  • 3-Day Itinerary

  • at least 1 original advertisement

II. Cover

  • You must make an attractive cover.  The cover must include a suitable illustration or photograph.

  • The group members' names must appear on the lower right-hand corner of the cover.  Use first and last names.

III. Writing

Your brochure must try and capture the language used in brochures.
In addition your brochure must:

  • be free of spelling errors

  • be neatly written or typed

  • be organized

IV. Layout
Your brochure should reflect careful attention to design.

V. Timing
As discussed and agreed upon in class, your group must adhere to the following schedule:
