LESSON FIVE

Lesson Overview:

Soup is part of the fabric of civilization.  Even today, inhaling the fragrant steam of a good chicken soup, thick or thin, chunky or smooth, there is a soup to suit every mood.  When all is said and done, few things in life are more comforting than curling up on a cold winter's day with a warming bowl of soup.

There is nothing more "multi-sensory" than cooking with kids. Students watch and participate while the teacher makes soup; letting the soup simmer throughout the day to fill the room with it's aroma.  Culminating this lesson by serving all your students a warm and delicious cup of soup.
