The following format must be used for the persuasive essay:

I.                    Introduction

A.    What is the name of the author that you have chosen for this Author Study?

B.     Why have you chosen this author for your Author Study?

C.    Which books have you read for this project?

D.    Which novel was the best of those that you have read?

II.                 Paragraph #2 – First Body Paragraph

A.    Write at least three reasons why this novel is your favorite.

B.     Write about two writing techniques that enhance this novel.

III.               Paragraph #3 – Second Body Paragraph

A.    Which book can be called “the best “ according to other opinions? (Counter argument)

B.     Why do you feel that this opinion is wrong? (Refutation)

IV.              Concluding Paragraph

A.    Write at least three sentences that summarize and conclude this essay.

B.     You may want to mention any movies that have been made that were based on some of these books.
