Procedure:
Students brainstormed four possible
choices for a classroom "virtual" pet. (One
student suggested an iguana or a snake. In the interest
of the classroom they were rejected due to the
squeamishness of several classmates as well as the
teacher.) The final choices to be voted on were fish,
rabbit, cat and dog. From the final four choices a vote
was taken and a rabbit was selected as our
"virtual" pet.
