Lesson V and VI

Title: Come Travel With Me Graphics

Objectives:

• Students will decide on the clip art, scanned drawings and personal photos, maps, flags, etc. to be used in their brochure.
• Using Kid Pix ,they will create and save the drawings to be inserted onto the brochures.
• Using  a scanner they will scan their pictures and photos and insert them into MS Word or MS Publisher.

Materials:

• Kid Pix
• MS Word
• MS Publisher
• Scanner
• Student drawings, photos, etc.

Activities:

• Students will be given time to review and select the materials and graphics that they will need for the visual presentation in their brochure.  They will be permitted to work in small groups if they so desire. They create a folder on the desktop by using the right click button on the mouse.  Next they will label their graphics folder to save their graphics for future reference .

                            This activity will need two periods or more, depending upon the students.
