Did you know that over 61% of all Americans are overweight and that 37% of those Americans are obese*? Well before working on this unit, neither did I. Proper nutrition is so important that health related issues account for more doctors visits than any other infirmity. That's correct, I was just as surprised when I researched this information.

Important questions to consider as you go through the site: What factors contribute to obesity in Americans? More personally, What can you do to improve your nutritional intake and prevent obesity? Does culture play a role in obesity? As you explore this site, you will find so much interesting information that it will be difficult to digest it all (pardon the pun). Why don't you nourish your brain and check it out for yourself!
