Line Graphs

Background Information

Line graphs are used to picture a relationship between two sets of facts.  A line graph has a title to the the purpose of the graph.  The graph has two scales (horizontal and vertical) which are used to tell the different values or things being represented.  The scales are given labels to tell the kinds of facts that are represented.  Points are used to show how the facts are matched and the points are connected by line segments to show the pattern of the graph.
