PROCEDURES & ACTIVITIES
1.. The
student will visit the following websites to practice
identifying, counting and
solving money problems.
2. The teacher will review the value of coins and money, basic addition and subtraction of money, and money words learned in the unit.
3.
The students will complete the following short worksheets as an assessment.

4. The student will be placed in groups of four and each group will create a board game.
A GROUP: will create a fast food place board game.
B GROUP: will create a department store board game.
C GROUP: will create a pet store board game.
D GROUP: will create a toy store board game.
Each group will create the board, cards with money word problems and rules.
They will use a word processor and internet to decorate
their board.
Instructions for students on doing a board game
5. The students will play the games once completed on an ongoing basis the rest of the school year to practice money.
HOME The student will use one of their parents grocery receipts to practice reading a receipt and making the amounts using different coins.
