The Ocean's Job in the Water Cycle
Background Information
Where does all the water that makes up the ocean come from? Most of it comes from the many rivers of the world. Rivers and oceans make up a system known as the water cycle. In the water cycle process, water evaporates from the ocean and other liquid sources. It then condenses into clouds which then drop their rain back onto the land. The rainwater is collected by lakes, streams, and rivers which then flow back into the ocean.
