video: Culture: What Is It?
This program answers the question, "What is culture?" It defines culture as the sum total of the human experience, a people's whole way of life. Dividing culture into material and nonmaterial types, on-location video provides examples of both from a variety of cultures around the world. Students will see and hear about the similarities and the differences between cultures, how people with similar backgrounds have similar cultural traits, and how these traits are passed from generation to generation.
