FTP who?

What is FTP and FTPing? FTP stands for "file transfer protocol"  and it's the method most commonly used to transfer files from personal computers to the worldwide web. When you publish files to the web, you are using the FTP method to do so whether you realize it or not.

What do you need to FTP? You need to know the web address, the web folder, your user name and password. To check your user name and password on teachersnetwork.org/teachnet-lab/, please email me and I'll send it to you. Please keep this information private.

FTP downloads. These are all trial versions of FTP (file transfer protocol) software good for between 15-30 days. If you are working in Dreamweaver or Front Page, you do not need to use separate FTP software because both Dreamweaver and Front Page have their own FTP abilities built-in to their interface.
