Extension Activities

*  The Organization for Rainforest Conservation has a program that allows your class to adopt an acre of rainforest.  This program helps provide the funds that are needed to continue this important work at a cost of $50 per year.  After adopting an acre of rainforest, the class will receive a picture of the rainforest and a certificate of adoption.  They will also send you an information sheet on the species of the rainforest that you would find there.  Also, you can adopt an animal from the rainforest at a cost of $20 per year.  They will also receive a picture of their rainforest animal, where it lives (what layer) and certificate of adoption. *** For more information go online to The Organization for Rainforest Conversation and The Living Rainforest (rainforest animal).***
