Welcome to the animal section of Ireland. Here you will discover sheep, horses, and other animals.

Horses are sometimes used for races in Ireland. One of their horses is called the Irish Draught, which is a farm horse that is used for hunting. The Irish Draught has a graceful carriage of head and neck with big, kind eyes and strong limbs. It has particularly short bones.

Sheep are important in Ireland because they provide both food and clothing. Sheep are even-toed, hoofed animals. They are cud-chewing animals with the upper incisor teeth missing and with a four-compartmented stomach. They have paired, hollow unbranched horns that are not shed.

In Ireland wool is made into coats and hats. It is also used for carpeting and blankets.

Now that you've heard from the animal section, we hope that you liked our site.
