Introduction:
"Frogland" is an interactive science technology
HTML page. Its purpose is to facilitate integrated science inquiry and
to engage primary students in multimedia learning. Its goals are to
show the effectiveness of how the internet can be used in allowing students
to collaborate, e-mail and engage in on-line interactive sites that are
subject and grade level appropriate. This site has sounds, tales, songs,

Materials:
An Internet connected computer with a printer
Procedures:
- Have students view the resources and interact with this
site.
- Have students recall significant details.
- List details on board and organize into groups
- Break students into teams to work on individual groups of
information
- Ask them to create a way to present to class; they can use
desktop publishing to create a poster, advertisement, announcement or some
other way to give information to the class
Home Learning:
Have the students to make a poster board frog collage
using frog coloring pages that they have down loaded from Frogland.
Evaluation:
Allow the student to e-mail each other or keypals a short
sentence that elaborates something that they have learned from this site.

Extension: Frog Pictionary
- Using information collected and organized from the
resources used in class, students will create a frog pictionary
- Brainstorm with students the words that should be in their
pictionary:
frog, egg, tadpole, toad, leg, lung, gill, amphibian, pond, insect, webbed
feet, snail, spider, vertebrate, tongue, camouflage, bull frog, tree frog,
water frog, poison frog, green frog, croak
- Students can write, edit and rewrite pictionary entries
- Add clip art, graphics, or draw illustrations using
paint/draw applications
- Publish pictionary; make one copy for media center and one
copy for classroom
