The Music Quest: Answer 13

About This Daily Classroom Special
The Music Quest  focuses on discovering the wonders of our musical universe. Visit it for a musical question—a description and hints about a mystery composer, musician, instrument or musical excerpt.
The Music Quest was written  by former Teachers Network Web Mentor Kristi Thomas, a teacher at  William F. Halley Elementary School Fairfax Station, Virginia.

Answer 13

There is absolutely nothing dull about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum! This dramatic landmark first opened its doors in Cleveland, Ohio on Labor Day weekend, 1995. Dedicated to rock's vital heritage, the museum is an interactive celebration of rock and roll from its early roots right up until today. This spectacular building is filled with the music and memorabilia from many of rock's greatest legends. The exhibits "bring to life the sights, sounds, and experiences of artists, songwriters and producers from every era." The museum had over one million visitors during the first year.

Although a visit to the actual museum would be fantastic, a visit to it's website at www.rockhall.com is lots of fun as well. Explore the virtual tour of the museum, watch interactive 3D videos of the exhibits, listen to some great music, and e-mail a postcard to a friend. Take some time to enjoy a truly first-class website for a fascinating music landmark.

This year's inductees were:

Isaac Hayes
Brenda Lee
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Gene Pitney
