The following learning
standards will be addressed during this Webquest:
Students
will access, generate, process, and transfer information, using
appropriate technologies.
Students
will understand the relationships and common themes that connect
mathematics, science, and technology and apply the themes to these and
other areas of learning.
Students
will apply the knowledge and thinking skills of mathematics, science, and
technology to address real-life problems and make informed decisions.
Landforms
are the result of the interaction of tectonic forces and the processes of
weathering, erosion, and deposition.
Natural agents of erosion, generally driven by
gravity, remove, transport, and deposit weathered rock particles. Each
agent of erosion produces distinctive changes in the material that it
transports and creates characteristic surface features and land- scapes.
In certain erosional situations, loss of property, personal injury, and
loss of life can be reduced by effective emergency
preparedness.
