Using Excite.com

 

  1. Log-on to computer
  2. Click on explorer icon.
  3. Type in www.excite.com in top window and push enter.
  4. On the upper right hand corner of the page click on “sign in”.
  5. Type in your username (assigned by the teacher).
  6. Type in your password (assigned by the teacher).
  7. Next, click on e-mail.
  8. It may ask for your password again, if so just type in the same password.
  9. You should then see current e-mails that have not been opened.
  10. Click on the e-mail from Richard Smith.
  11. Read the e-mail.
  12. Write down your response to the letter which includes your acceptance of the task at hand and your role in orchid sales, orchid propagation or orchid growing.  You should also inform him on your research techniques (Example: Internet research, etc.)
  13. Once you have your response, click on the reply button. 
  14. Type your response in business letter format and check your spelling and grammar.
  15. Print out a copy of your response and click on send.
  16. It will say “your e-mail has been sent successfully” if you followed this procedure exactly.
