Special Challenge Project

All students in my class are being challenged to do a report on a topic. Your topic will be __________________________________. You will have two weeks to complete it.

It is being assigned on _________________, so that makes it due on ________________.

The fun part about this report is that you can do it in many different ways, and you can be as creative as you want. You can make the traditional poster and give an oral presentation, you can create a PowerPoint presentation, make a video, a Kid Pix slide show, a model of your subject, a diorama, a play, a newspaper, a book, write a song about your topic and sing it, create a dance and perform it, etc.. (I will explain all of these options in class) If you have a better idea write it here please_______________________.

If you have a different topic that you are really interested in write it here and I will let you know if I approve it or not -_________________________________________________.

I will give you a list of web sites that you can use to research your topic. You can use other resources if you want. If you don’t have access to the Internet at home let me know so that we can arrange a time for you to use the classroom computers or the computer lab.

You can always research in books that you check out of the library.

Time will be allotted at school to work on it, but most of it should be done at home as homework.

The final projects will be presented to the class at school and parents may be invited.

If you need help of any kind write it on a sheet of paper with your name on it and give it to me. I will try to help you as much as possible.

Tell your parents about this project and ask them to help you. Have them sign this paper so that I know that you showed it to your parents.
