The students write the following on the tabs corresponding to the pages:
my name, my street, my neighborhood, my city, my county, my state, my country, my continent, my hemisphere, my planet.
( I have the students use cursive for practice)
On each page they illustrate the item and write the corresponding titles, such as California for the state, USA for the country, etc..
(I have the students trace the state, country, continent and hemisphere from their social studies book or from other resources)
