Procedure
  1. The students each write a narrative story about the Lewis and Clark Expedition involving themselves in the account.
  2. They may embellish the storyline to include adventure, danger, humor or other aspects of narrative story writing.
  3. They type the final story and include clip art, pictures, borders, or other additions.
  4. The students read aloud their stories.

Work on the story and check all spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, grammar and typing errors.

Extension Activities
Place the books on display in the school library for other students to read.

Video tape each student giving a one minute presentation of the topics.

Have the class vote on which story is the favorite and discuss why it is.
