Activities The purpose of this lesson is After a teacher demonstration on the correct way to stop, drop, and roll when endangered by fire, students will be able to properly stop, drop, and roll when the teacher says the code word of "Stop."

Activities (cont.) The teacher will pin an inflated balloon on the student's backs and yell "STOP, DROP, AND ROLL!". The children should roll until their balloon breaks or the whistle blows. This activity helps children understand that they cannot just roll once.
