PURPOSE (OBJECTIVE)
The purpose of "Com-Post With Us?" is to promote recycling of waste in order to make students aware of environmental needs facing our world today. Through the use of technology, field trips, and hands-on activities, students will become proactive in an environmental issue. By learning how to compost, students will experience how waste can be turned into fertilizer. By recycling cartridges and cell phones for money students will learn how to make a profit while helping the world they live in. Parental involvement will increase by engaging both student and parent in the collaboration process of this project. Through the commitment of teachers, students and parents, "Com-Post With Us?" will prepare students to deal with real-life issues affecting their future.
