Cause and Effect

 

Read each sentence below.  Part of each sentence tells you the cause, or what it was that made things happen.  The other part tells the effect, or what resulted.  Put a circle around the cause in each sentence.  Put a line under the effect.

 

1.  A book fell on Milo's head so he decided to follow its instructions and become perfect.

2.  Dr. Silverfish said Milo was fearless because he wore broccoli around his neck for twenty-four hours.

3.  Because he fasted for twenty-four hours, Milo felt proud of himself.

4.  Milo would not be perfect since he fell asleep on the third day.
