PROCEDURES & ACTIVITIES

1. Read story Arthur's Funny Money

2. Discuss what Arthur did to earn money.  How did he spend the money?

3. The teacher will model on how to make a line graph and how to read it.

4.  Students will create a line graph to show Arthur's earnings and answer Teacher made questions on the graph.

5. Do a web with the class on how students can earn money.

6. Distribute table in which students will record 7 jobs kids their age can do. 

The chart headings are: name of the Job Title, Age and Earnings Per Hour

HOME LEARNING

The student will write an expository explaining what job he would like to do and why and compare it to Arthur's job.
