Introduction:
In this activity the students will learn how people use time in their ever day lives. They will also learn how clocks can be a useful tool when it comes to measuring time.
Materials: A computer with internet capacity, The Very Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carl, a class set of student Judy clocks, and software Math Blaster Grade 1 and 2
Procedures:
Activity
#1- Introduce the story of, The Very
Grouchy Ladybug to the students. Together
the students will orally contribute to a class chart showing ways in which
people use time in the real world. Example: People use time to know
when to open and close their businesses. |
Activity
#2- Using
Kid
Works 2, have the students to make their own adventures for the
ladybug, listing the times of day in which each event happens. |

The students will make a time schedule showing what times they get up in the mornings, come to school e.g.
Evaluation:
