Description (Summary
of plan):
This thematic unit
explores the students’ home and community surroundings. The children will become aware of their
family’s role in their neighborhood.
They will discuss the common daily needs and wants that we all need to
survive. They will identify how members
of their neighborhood come together to provide goods and services which meet
the necessities of their communities well-being. They will also trace paths that connect
community workers with their place of work, and the tools that are needed to
complete their jobs.
