Lesson Plan - Scavenger Hunt                   

 

Weather Watchers can also become a classroom Internet Scavenger Hunt through the use of task cards. The teacher should search for web sites correlating with the unit studied and book mark appropriate sites. The teacher should then create questions found in those sites and prepare task cards with directions for students to use to locate information and answer questions. Students can locate the sites by using the book marks or typing in the URL of each site.

Objectives

  1. The students will use task cards to direct him to various weather web sites to locate and compile information about thunderstorms, lightning, and hurricanes.
  2. The students will use data collected from Internet task cards to make an oral presentation to the class; this data will be used later in a multimedia presentation.

Evaluation
