How It Works: Students will explore the fascinating world of Ramona Quimby, Age 8 in this exciting unit. The students participate in activities such as cause and effect, sequencing, grammar (capitalization, punctuation marks, pronouns, plural nouns, compound words, past and present verbs, contractions, quotation marks), compare and contrast, word processing and searching the internet. Students will also use online resources to create word searches and puzzles using vocabulary words, create spreadsheets and graphs from class surveys, to complete grammar and word usage activities and learn how to write a publish a variety of book reports. Standards: The
students will be able to read for comprehension.
