Mexico is an extremely mountainous country, it has two great mountain chains: the Sierra Madre Occidental in the West and the Sierra Madre Occidental in the East running parallel to the coasts, enclosing a high desert plateau. About halfway down they are crossed by the volcanic highland in which Mexico City and the major cities are located. Only the Eastern Yucatan Peninsula is  low-lying and flat. People that visit Mexico can go to Acapulco and the Pacific Beaches, Bajio, Tijuana, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Mazatlan, Cancun, Cozumel, Cab San Lucas, among other destinations.
