Spreadsheet Directions Using Claris Works
- Open the Claris Works folder
- Double click the Works icon
- Double click the spreadsheet icon
Entering Text labels
- Click the cell you want to contain the text
- Type the text
- Click the enter box or press the Enter key, tab key, or Return key
Selecting Values
- To highlight a single cell- click the cell
- To highlight one row or column- click the row or column heading
- To highlight many rows or columns- drag from the first row or column
heading to the last one you want
Formatting Text
- Highlight the cells
- From the Format Menu choose Font, Size, Color, Style or Alignment
Creating a Chart
- Highlight the section of the spreadsheet you want to chart
- From the Options Menu choose Make a Chart
To Change the Chart Type
- Choose Modify Chart from the Options Menu or double click the chart to
make changes
- In the Chart Type box, choose the type of chart you want. Click OK
- Select one of the other categories to modify the legend and add titles
