Drippy Water
Objective:

The students will recognize the water cycle.
Materials:

Smart Board
Procedure:
This activity will be developed with the whole class.

Connect the computer to the projector and the smart board
so it will be projected in a big screen. Children will come up to the smart
board and interact with the site.

Read online story

Discuss what is happening to Drippy throughout the
story

Vocabulary: Drippy, rain, drops, stream, water,
cycles, clouds, oceans, lakes
Evaluation:
The students will be able to answer the following
questions:
What falls from the dark clouds?
Answer: The rain falls.
What warms the water?
Answer: The sun warms the water.
When water is warmed, what happens?
Answer: The water changes into water
vapor
and "disappears" into the air.
When water cycle hits a cool speck, what does it do?
Answer: When the water
vapor hits a cool speck, it sticks to it and condenses. These bits of dust and
water drops come together to make clouds. When they are heavy with water, down comes the
rain.

Organize students into small groups and ask them to role play the story
