1-Students go to Zoom School
2-Students follow the subsequent handout to answer questions:
3-Students arrange this information onto a new paper, poster board, or type it and print it out. They use their imagination on how they want to present this information. Students can present information using a diorama, display, slide show, report, game or skit.

Extension Activity: Create a Travel Pamphlet about Australia
Students use a desktop publishing program similar to Microsoft Publisher and the draw format of ClarisWorks
Students create a 2-sided travel pamphlet with three columns on each side.
Have students make a draft of their pamphlet using paper and pencil
Collect information they want to include, such as the weather, cities, attractions, food, shopping, animals, geographic features
Students then make text boxes and type information in the three column format
Add pictures and graphics from CD-ROMs, Internet or publishing program
Change font, style, size and color to add to appearance
Proof, spell check and print
Homework: Read a travel article in a newspaper, magazine or online about Australia. Share the who, what, why, where, and when with the class.
Fieldtrip: Take a
virtual fieldtrip to Brisbane,
Australia.
