Why
Even though
Lucile insists that it wasn't her fault, and that she didn't really want to
go to
the standing
up lake, I know that she did. She wanted the adventure
just as much as I did. When we got to the lone cloud, we both agreed to go through.
The adventure was irresistible. We needed the thrill, our bones were calling
to us. When we had gotten through to the other side, we knew that we were in
trouble.
The people looked nothing like us. They all wore dresses, but we found that they
were still nice. Lucile and I found ourselves hopelessly lost. We couldn't fly
or use our powers, because then we would be found out. When we finally got back
home, the Chief Counselor yelled at us about how we didn't us our senses until
it was to late. The place we found ourselves in was called China, and we were
at some sort of scared wall. It was magnificent. It stretched on and on for miles.
But, it was a wall.
