Practice, practice, practice: Online Practice Interview http://jobsearchtech.about.com/od/interviewpractice/

Predict questions with this: Imagine an Interview Work Sheet and then do practice interviews with classmates. One person is the person conducting the imaginary interview, the 2nd person is applying for the job, and the 3rd person is the observer. The observer silently watches the practice interview while taking notes on the body language and questioning process. Share your observations and feelings with one another, and then swap roles for at least two more imaginary interviews.

4. Make Appointments for Interviews

The internship advisor will give you names of people and places to contact; if you have other ideas about where you might like to intern discuss it with your advisor. Use the Interview Appointment Worksheet to make sure you get all the pertinent information.

5. Revise your Resume and Cover Letter

Revise your resume and cover letter specifically for each job you are applying for. If possible, find out the proper spelling of the name and title of the person you will be interviewing with beforehand to include it in the cover letter.

6. Be punctual, prepared, proactive and professional at the interview and on the job.
In our school you have to interview at a minimum of three possible Internship sites. The Internship site will let your advisor know if they want to work with you. Hopefully, you will have at least one offer from the initial round of interviews and you can choose the one that interests you most. If there are no offers, you will go on additional interviews. In your professional future you will likely have to go on many interviews to find the jobs most appropriate for your career path.

You must be punctual, prepared, proactive and professional at the interview and while working as an Intern. At the end of the Internship semester, you will be evaluated by your supervisor. This is a sample of the Internship Evaluation. You can ask your supervisor for a letter of recommendation and/or to list them as reference for future job applications. You can now add your Internship experience to your resume.

You are always networking and making impressions for future career opportunities.
Keep this saying in mind as you climb the ladder of success:
" Be careful on the way up; you don't know whom you'll meet on the way down".
