"Getting to Know You" : Student Interviews

Elina C.: the quiet, sensitive girl, or the wild, loud girl? Elina C. is a girl who we as fellow Bergtraum students have come to know. She was born on September 11th, 1984 in New York City. Just like other teenagers, she has her likes and dislikes, her hobbies and her friends. Ms. C. felt that good friends are honest, trustworthy, understanding and there through thick and thin. Bad friends, she explains, are "two-faced."
Even though Elina was born here, she sticks to her Puerto Rican roots. She is enrolled in the Spanish Club at Murry Bergtraum. She is also a member of Student Government. She is a well-rounded person.
In her spare time, she likes to watch television, dance, listen to music, and write poems. Basically, she does the same thing as other teenagers. She is majoring in Travel and Tourism at Bergtraum, but she's not sure what she'll be doing with the rest of her life.

She is a teenager who is 16 years old. Like many teenagers, she likes to listen to music such as Rap and R&B. Who is she? Her name is Jodie F. Jodie likes basketball and her favorite players are Allen Iverson from the 76ers and Chris Childs from the Knicks. During her free time, Jodie watches TV. Some of her favorite shows are Martin, Girlfriends, Moesha, and The Parkers.
I asked Jodie how she could see herself in the future and she said, "I want to be an entrepreneur and own my own company. Maybe I will have a husband and a kid, and most definitely living in a mansion." What are Jodie's plans after high school? She thinks she will start off as an Administrative Assistant. Jodie also has a hidden talent, which is doing hair. Perhaps he should start her own hair salon.
As far as family, Jodie has an older brother and two younger sisters, and a brother on the way. Jodie's background is very interesting. Her great-grandmother and grandfather are Indian. Her mother is 1/2 Indian and 1/2 Black and her father is Jamaican.
Jodie isn't like most other teenage girls today. Jodie is the type of person who keeps it real and never holds back about what she wants to say or what she is thinking. Jodie explains: "I say what I feel and never cover up anything because by covering things up, you lose friends." Jodie seems like a good person to get to know.

Yessika P. was born on December the 2nd in the year 1984. While interviewing Yessika, I found out many interesting facts about her.
In the first place, we shall let everyone know that Yessika's name is spelled with a "Y" and not a "J"! You never call her Jessica because it's an offense to her. Yessika is known as one of the biggest Eminem fans to all of her friends and family. She likes hanging out with her friends and quotes "LOL." she also laughs a lot which brings laughs to others as well. She also enjoys going online and chatting with friends.
Yessika is presently living in Manhattan, New York, where she enjoys watching TV, playing with her baby brother and niece, and listening to music.
Ms. P. considers herself to be smart and funny. She's very independent, but social. Yessika may be very nice, but she quotes: "I'm mean when necessary, and I hardly ever get mad, and if so, it's a problem!"
Yessika also has goals to which she wishes to accomplish. She wants a good paying job and wishes to live on her own, supporting herself. She also plans on going to a four year college where she wants to learn about producing music or TV production. She wishes to graduate from college and step into the entertainment business. She says this is a sign to her because she has been on The People's Court and TRL which she enjoyed very much.
In five years, Yessika sees herself in a nice, expensive apartment with a good job, earning her money and enjoying it!
