Instructional Objectives: 1) Students will be able to
understand online research; 2) Students will be able to better
identify materials found on the web;
Time Required: one 45-minute class period
Procedures:
1) Begin to discuss research on the web. What are its advantages? Disadvantages?
2) Direct students to the research web site (http://teachersnetwork.org/teachnet-lab/mbhs/scragg/research.html). Read over the tips together.
4) Have students complete the research exercises.
5) Allow students to do follow-up research in preparation for their final draft of the Conrad story.
