What is geography? What is climate?
Have the students look up the definitions using the One LookDictionary at www.Refdesk.com or provide the following definitions.
1.geography - study of the earth's surface
2. climate - the weather in some location averaged over some long period of time
Discuss the various aspects of the geography and climate in your country, and state. Ask the students to compare this with the geography and climate in the country you are studying.
Some students might also look into the type of animals that live in the country you are studying. Are they similar to the animals here in the United States? What are their habitats?
