They left the by trains, cars and foot where they found hiding places in churches hospitals and other Jewish homes. Fisherman helped take the Jews across the water within a two week period.

This rescue was good because everyone worked together in the country to help the Jews to not get deported. This was not completely a success because almost five hundred Jews got deported to the Theresienstadt Getto in Czechoslovakia.
