Group 3: Characters in The Crucible, by Arthur Miller
Vanessa, Michael, Diego, Mathew, Marquita

-John Proctor=He was the backbone of the group, he stood up for what he believed in, and would die for it. Proctor is daring, self-determined, and full of ambition.

-Elizabeth Proctor=Proctor's wife, had a damaged relationship with her husband due to his affair with Abigail.

-Reverend Parris=Abigail's uncle. He was a selfish man, he only cared about himself and his reputation.

-Tituba=a slave from Barbados. She was accused of witchcraft. The only way for her to not get hanged was to confess that she practiced witchcraft.

-Abigail Williams=The niece of Reverend Parris. She was the most powerful person in the play. She accused many people who were innocent.

-Giles Corey=He was a loyal man. He was getting pressed and still didn't give the name the court wanted.

-Judge Danforth=Deputy Governor of Massachusetts. In his sixties. Takes his job very seriously as a judge. Mean.

-Reverend Hale=In his forties. Witchcraft expert & intellectual. Good man. Eventually turns against the court and believes John and his friends.

-Mary Warren=She was the servant of John Proctor. She was one of the girls who accused others of witchcraft. She tried to go against Abigail and the girls, but they intimidated her. When everything failed, she betrayed John Proctor.

-Rebecca Nurse=Caring, good reputation. Liked helping other people, others had a high opinion of her.
