I am a staff developer in English for the Queens High School
District Office (NYC Board of Ed). I taught English at Jamaica
High School, in a wired classroom, and I believe that technology
positively affects student engagement and performance. My students
kept webfolios and portfolios on the web-housing all their writing
for the term.
Providing an authentic audience for writing, the Internet is
a powerful tool.
