Dale Hannon

Williams Junior High School
Oakland, ME

I am pround of the fact that I am a native of Maine and have remained in Maine to work and raise my eight year old son. I graduated from Brewer High School and the University of Maine at Orono. I have taught middle level health education for 23 years in the Messalonskee School District and have coached various sports for the past 26 years. I have served on committees for Maine Educational Assessment development and Portfolio Assessment committees. I have won awards for my curriculum, "Teens Teaching Teens." I believe that the best way to teach is by example. Adults need to mentor young adults. Young adults need to mentor teenagers and teenagers need to mentor children. Raise the standard of life by being the standard.
